Llwybr Llaethog v. Tŷ Gwydr: MC D.R.E. (Cassette)
Cassette version of this perfect passing of the torch release from 1991: David R. Edwards (aka MC D.R.E.) of Welsh 80s post-punk kings Datblygu, teams up with two of the most exciting groups of the nascent Welsh rave revolution for a split LP, taking on vocal duties for both bands. Everyone involved cut their teeth in musics with synth pop, post-punk and shoegaze leanings, which shows in the genre mixing amongst these more dance floor oriented cuts. The record starts with the absolutely bonkers "Fi Yw'r Comiwnydd Ola' Yn Ewrop" (I Am The Last Communist In Europe) and doesn't slow down as it winds through 8 tracks of dubbed out, industrial and house infused madness.
